Pedestrian Crash near North Kelly Road Left 60-Year-Old Man KilledNAPA, CA (July 19, 2023) – Late Saturday night, Heleodoro Marin Martinez died in a pedestrian versus auto collision on Highway 29.Officers responded to the crash around 11:25 p.m., just north of North Kelly Road.According to reports, Martinez was walking eastbound in the area when he traveled into the path of a 2013 Cadillac CTS. The teenaged girl driving the Cadillac was unable to avoid him in time and struck him with her vehicle. 63-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Pedestrian Collision in MidtownSAN DIEGO, CA (July 19, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, an elderly man was hospitalized after a pedestrian accident on Kettner Boulevard.Authorities responded to the scene around 1:23 a.m., at the 3500 block of Kettner Boulevard in the neighborhood of Midtown.Per reports, a man was walking outside of a marked crosswalk, directly into the path of a southbound 2015 Honda CR-V. As a result, the Honda failed to brake in time and struck the pedestrian.Medical responders arrived and transported the 63-year-old male pedestrian to a hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.Meanwhile, the 68-year-old male driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Nearly two dozen wildfires burning in Oregon are now affecting the air quality in the Bay Area, officials said Wednesday.The Bay Area Air Quality Management District issued an air quality advisory on Wednesday, saying smoke from the Oregon wildfires is creating moderate air conditions in the Santa Clara Valley.Cleaner air was expected throughout the rest of the region, the district said.The advisory was in effect late Wednesday afternoon and early evening, according to the district. (KRON) -- Investigators said a "prolific" thief has been charged with 29 counts in connection to home, business, and car burglaries across San Francisco.Patrick Potter, 29, was arraigned in court Wednesday. He pleaded not guilty to charges including grand theft and residential burglary. Potter is accused of carrying out burglaries across a large swath of neighborhoods, including Chinatown, North Beach, Telegraph Hill, Russian Hill, Nob Hill, and Pacific Heights.
