DENVER (KDVR) -- A local nonprofit became the latest target for catalytic converter thieves after two were cut off its school buses Thursday morning. Warren Village is located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood and helps single-parent families with transitional housing. “It particularly hurts an organization like ours, that serves single parents and serves moms and little kids. It just stings a little bit,” Warren Village CEO Ethan Hemming told FOX31.It happened in the early morning hours, in the parking lot right off 13th Avenue and Gilpin Street. A mechanic at BDM Performance Exhaust found out what happened and moved quickly to help replace the converters. As they finish out the regular season this weekend, the Celtics have nothing to play for in the standings. They’re locked in to the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. But they still don’t want to lose.“Regardless of who’s playing, I want to win,” Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla said before Friday’s game against the Raptors.A few inexcusable losses to inferior teams cost the Celtics the No. 1 seed, but Mazzulla has otherwise praised the Celtics’ professionalism throughout the season. No matter who’s on the floor – even Friday’s shorthanded edition – he feels like the Celtics always have a great chance to win, a testament to their depth. Even as they do their best to give their regulars proper rest before the most important games, the Celtics are deep enough to win every night.Friday was the latest example. Without Marcus Smart, Malcolm Brogdon, and at the last moment, Jaylen Brown, the Celtics weren’t the least bit worried. They still had Jayson Tatum, Derrick White, Al Horford, R...Poulin scores milestone goal, Canada beats Czechia

We’re glad she’s Canadian.”Poulin scored her milestone goal in style, finishing off a rapid-fire two-on-one with Blayre Turnbull by tucking a backhand behind Czechia netminder Blanka Skodova at 8:03 of the first period to open the scoring. Poulin switched to her backhand so quickly that Skodova was sliding over to the wrong side of the goal as the Canadian star fired the puck home. The 32-year-old from Beauceville, Que., playing in her 171st game for Can...University of Oklahoma police checking shots fired report

SAN PEDRO CUTUD, Philippines (AP) — Eight Filipinos were nailed to crosses to reenact Jesus Christ’s suffering in a bloody Good Friday tradition, including a carpenter, who was crucified for the 34th time with a prayer for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to end because it has made poor people like him more desperate. The real-life crucifixions in the farming village of San Pedro Cutud in Pampanga province north of Manila resumed after a three-year pause due to the coronavirus pandemic. About a dozen villagers registered but only eight people showed up, including 62-year-old carpenter and sign painter Ruben Enaje, who screamed as he was nailed to a wooden cross with a large crowd watching in the scorching summer heat.In a news conference shortly after his crucifixion, Enaje said he prayed for the eradication of the COVID-19 virus and the end of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has contributed to gas and food prices soaring worldwide.“It’s just these two countries involved ...Latest news
