Police identify mother, two young children found dead in Fremont home

FREMONT — The names of a woman and her two young children, all of whom died in what police said was a double murder-suicide, were released Friday afternoon by police.Officers and firefighters found the 1-year-old boy and 4-year-old girl dead along with their mother June 5 at a residence in the 40000 block of Inglewood Common, according to Fremont police. Police found a knife in the home.Police on Friday identified the three as 28-year-old Evelin Lemus Garcia; 4-year-old Estefany Florian Lemus and 1-year-old Emiliano Florian Lemus.The identities were delayed until some of the family’s relatives in Central America were contacted. OAKLAND — The April death of a 76-year-old man, less than a week after a portable toilet he was using at a West Oakland homeless camp was deliberately set on fire, is being investigated as a homicide, authorities said.Paul A. Jones died April 21 at a San Francisco hospital, where he was being treated for severe burns to 42 percent of his lower body, authorities said.He was brought to the hospital April 15 after he was severely burned in a portable toilet at the camp in the 600 block of Sycamore Street. Authorities said he told medical personnel he had been using the toilet when someone set it on fire.Based on his injuries, what he told hospital personnel and an autopsy, Jones’ death was classified as a homicide on May 31, authorities said.Police said Jones lived a few blocks away from the camp, but was there looking for someone when he had to use the toilet.investigators were still trying to pinpoint a suspect and motive in the killing. Deion Sanders may have to have his left foot amputated, according to University of Colorado doctors.The doctors delivered the news to Sanders in a meeting uploaded onto the Colorado head football coach’s YouTube channel Thee Pregame Show earlier this week.Amputation is a possibility due to blood flow issues in Sanders’ foot, according to his medical team. He has struggled with blood flow in his left foot and previously had two toes amputated in 2021. SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- In celebration of what would have been Tupac Shakur’s 52nd birthday, Madame Tussauds announced Friday that his wax figure has returned to its San Francisco museum.Tupac’s figure was one of the first rolled out when Madame Tussauds opened its San Francisco location 2014. The figure was later loaned to Madame Tussauds' Hollywood wax museum to be featured in the 1990’s exhibit. The legendary rapper's figure has been retouched throughout the years to preserve its incredible likeness. It was created by studio artists who worked meticulously for six months to capture the rapper's features. His figure is bare-chested and emblazoned with all the late rapper’s infamous tattoos.
