AUSTIN (KXAN) – Weekend One of the 2023 Austin City Limits Music Festival kicked off Friday afternoon with music lovers from Texas and beyond flooding Zilker Park to see some of the biggest names in music. LATHAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Thousands of people lost power on October 7 in Latham, according to National Grid’s outage map. Over 2,400 customers are currently impacted by the outages. ST. LOUIS COUNTY — The Ferguson Police Department is investigating a shooting incident at the QuickTrip in Ferguson. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on October 7.An unidentified man entered the QuickTrip store to make a purchase but left after a disagreement regarding the required identification for the purchase. Shortly after leaving, he returned to the store.When he returned, a confrontation happened between him and an on-duty security guard. Surveillance video footage reveals that both the individual and the security officer drew firearms during the altercation, resulting in an exchange of gunfire.The male individual was shot and killed, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The security guard was also hit, but he was wearing bulletproof gear that protected him from serious injury.The security guard's condition is not critical, and he was released from the hospital after receiving medical treatment. A little relief at the pump has arrived. Last week’s average of $6.08 per gallon of regular unleaded in California fell to $5.83 per gallon as of Saturday, according to AAA. The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported that wholesale gas prices are dropping nationwide, with percentage drops per gallon of 6.9 and 10.8 percent.Demand data was partially influenced by severe flooding and rain on the East Coast that deterred many drivers, according to Reuters.Despite the price drop, drivers in nearly every Southern California county are still paying more than their NorCal counterparts, data shows. The most expensive gas can be found in San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles and San Diego counties, where motorists are forking over an average $6.04, $6.03 and $6.01 per gallon, respectively. Other SoCal counties with prices higher than the state average include Ventura ($5.99 per gallon); Santa Barbara ($5.97 per gallon); Riverside and Orange counties ($5.87 per gallon). Bruce Springsteen has announced the makeup schedule for his 2023 tour — including Dec. 10 and 12 at the Chase Center in San Francisco — that was postponed last month as the rock legend sought to recover from a peptic ulcer.The rescheduled 2024 tour will now come to Chase Center on March 28 and 31, According to Chase Center officials and tour organizers.
